Infiniti Art Car Garners $55k for ONE DROP Charity

When Montreal Artist Heidi Taillefer spent over 300 hours in one month painting the Infiniti G37 Art Car in 2009, she knew it would eventually be auctioned for charity. She didn't know, however, that the vehicle would raise $55k for ONE DROP- a foundation created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte to provide safe water to people in need on an International level. Infiniti is a corporate sponsor of the amazing Cirque du Soleil, which the Art Car has been touring with for the past two years. The car was originally created in celebration of Infiniti's 20th anniversary, in conjunction with Cirque du Soleil's 25th anniversary.

The Art Car was purchased by an anonymous donor during a Masquerade event, held at the Bearfoot Bistro in Whistler, British Columbia. The donor was one of 1,200 people in attendance at the gala. Wendy Durward, Director of Infiniti Canada, says of the recent sale: "We are proud that the car, this work of art, which is so meaningful to us in marking an important milestone in our history, now has further meaning in that it will help support an incredible cause."1

Here at Motor Werks Infiniti of Barrington, we think the Infiniti brand was a great choice for such a special car. To us, all of the new Infiniti and used Infiniti models are works of art. Stop by 1475 S Barrington Rd Barrington, IL 60010 today to see them for yourself. We know you won't be disappointed.
