The project is an attempt to push the boundaries of an EV vehicle, combining power and performance with environmental soundness. As Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President of Nissan and Infiniti explains, "At the Geneva Show next year, we will present our vision for a totally new kind of inspired premium performance car. Infiniti already has hybrid and clean diesel models on sale. And with an all-electric sedan on the way, the natural next step was to push the boundaries where performance and the environment intersect."¹ Little is known about the car at the present time, although rumors are circulating that it's a mid-engined two-seater. Confirmed rumors indicate that the model will include a range-extender system and a petrol or diesel engine to charge the battery when it's low on power. The car should be available in the United States, and possibly in Europe and other countries as well.
